Partner Support Workshop

  • Cary House Buffalo 460 Franklin Street Buffalo United States (map)

This is what support looks like. It’s palpable.

The visual alone is deeply grounding, centering, soothing; imagine the effects on someone in an extremely vulnerable state, doing the most challenging work of the human experience; imagine how grounding this must feel. Imagine massive surges of energy moving through your body to bring another human earthside, imagine the fear, the sensation, the exhaustion of that work and how having grounding, stable presence can effect the work and the woman doing it. Through comfort measures, words of encouragement, acts of compassion and remaining steadfast, a support person offers the strength of a stable presence. No one else can birth a baby for the mother, but being alongside her with stable presence is a powerful component of her sense of well being. It provides a firm base for her to rely on as she finds her path through her labor, a path she must find for herself, a path that is as uniquely hers ~ a path that unfolds much more smoothly with steady presence, not wandering away or vacating~ a warrior presence. A warrior presence provides a buffer of protection that liberates a laboring woman from extraneous concerns which frees her to open up fully to the process and use her energy exclusively to give birth. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••🌙🌙🌙

Join Rebecca Tuesday 2/25 at 6:30pm for our labor support workshop at Cary House Buffalo for practical, hands on skills and intel to build confidence, to gain insight as to how your warrior presence can effect her experience and implement these tools to do so when the time comes.

***This workshop is open to all humans preparing for childbirth and their support person (not limited to husbands/wives; open to friends, mothers, sisters, brothers, anyone who is planning to support during the experience).
